Join us at The Moon for an introduction to underglaze transfers!
What’s an underglaze transfer?
It’s an image that has been printed onto thin rice paper with colored underglaze that can be transferred (kind of like a temporary tattoo!) onto greenware. The designs vary from blocky or geometric to floral or intricate.
In this class, we will dive into Sarah’s stash of commercially available transfers and learn how to apply them to leather hard clay.
We will be working with slabs and molding them into dishes using our collection of pottery forms and wooden anvils. Lettering can be added, as well as a smart little foot ring if you’d like.
$65 includes all materials, glazing (we will apply a clear glaze on top for you) and firing.
Registration is limited to 6 attendees to ensure personal attention and a cozy vibe. BYOB for guests 21+.
Pieces will be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks to allow for drying time and firing.
