Come make some illustrated cups with us!
Using some pre-made cylinders (hand thrown by Sarah), we will play with various colors of underglaze then carve designs into the clay (a technique known as sgraffito).
This is a fun and easy process that does not require previous experience or drawing ability! Your designs can be as simple or complicated as you please. You can go monotone, rainbow or anything in between. You can carve anything from illustrative images to geometric patterns to lettering.
Each attendee will get two cups to decorate.
$50 per seat. Class size is limited to 8 seats for personal attention and a cozy vibe. BYOB for guests 21+.
We’ll dip your work in a clear glaze and fire it in the community kiln and let you know when it’s ready for pickup, usually in 1-2 weeks.
